Rodney Martin

Head of Mergers and Acquisitions

Rodney holds an honours degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Auckland University. He is a mergers and acquisitions specialist with more than 20 years experience and more than 50 acquisitions completed. Rodney has always focused on very specific industries where he has been able to acquire the very best businesses within those industries while implementing long term industry aggregation strategies, both as principal and as facilitator. For the last 20 years Rodney has acquired and merged retail, commercial and industrial businesses all over New Zealand, Australia and Europe.

Levent Aydinoglu

Senior Advisor

Levent holds a BSc. in Economics from Bilkent University, Ankara and an MSc. in Economics from University College, London.

Prior to joining Obsidian Capital Partners, Levent spent 16 years at Bancroft Private Equity where he was a partner and led a number of successful private equity transactions across Europe in a wide range of industries. Before Bancroft, Levent spent five years at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) working on equity and debt transactions in Central and Eastern Europe, mainly in the food sector. Levent commenced his career in the Corporate Finance team at PwC in London.

Levent is an experienced M&A specialist with over 20 years of M&A and Corporate Finance experience, and has served on the boards of several substantial companies.

Levent speaks fluent English and Turkish.

Levent joined Obsidian Capital Partners in January 2023.
